2021 - A New Year, A New Hope

Posted by Marshall Girtman on

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

Starting a new year provides a time of reflection on the past, and hope for the future. This is particularly true based on all of the events and circumstances 2020 brought to us.

As with other years, 2020 brought it's own sets of highs and lows. The coronavirus pandemic has affected the way of life for many societies. This virus has led to the illness and death of countless people. This virus has also prompted workforce shutdowns, business closures, and rising unemployment. All of these issues have led to instability, mistrust, and confusion.

However, in spite of these difficult issues, I am confident there were many things to celebrate in 2020 as well. Perhaps there were new births or marriages take place among your families. Maybe the layoffs prompted a career change you have been unsure when to make. Or, it is possible the "slow-down" has caused your business to redirect and expand in ways you never had time to implement.

Life itself is a series of highs and lows. There are periods of health coupled with periods of illness. There are times of prosperity coupled with periods of want. This is why we shouldn't focus only on our circumstances. Without fail, circumstances change.

As we enter into a new year, 2021 will bring it's own set of challenges. But, I am confident it will also bring it's own set of blessings. It is our prayer at Outspoken Faith Designs that 2021 will bring a new hope for everyone. We wish each of you not just a happy New Year, but also a hopeful New Year.
